I like to fold napkins this way because it makes a napkin not just something to wipe your hands with. It adds a little festive touch. Plus it’s fun to do!
Instructions for making a Utensil Pocket Napkin
Materials
one square napkin
fork, spoon and knife
1 Begin with the napkin folded in half, right side to right side, with the fold away from you.
2 Fold the top of the front side down about an inch.
3 Refold another inch down.
4 Picking the napkin up along the center, fold it in half to form a square. The inside layer should now have wrong sides facing. Crease lightly.
5 Picking up the top layer at the center so that 1/4 of the napkin is to the right of your hands, open out the napkin to the left, matching the right side of the top layer with the crease you made in step 4.
6 Fold the napkin from the left to the right in quarters, smoothing out creases when you have finished.
That’s it! I can fold one or two napkins a minute this way. So fast, and adds a little something special to your table!
What a great idea! Ellen loves to make the table fancy for us. This will be a perfect addition!
This is so cool! I’m going to do this tonight.
Ellen.
