You see, pi is a mathematical constant usually rounded to 3.14. It&#8217;s a pretty important number in the world of numbers. So when some clever fellow realized we have a 3.14 on the calendar (aka March 14), Pi Day was born.<\/p>\n<p>To celebrate Pi Day you could recite pi. Abbie knows pi to 50 digits. <a title=\"Japanese Man Recites First 100,000 Digits of Pi\" href=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/story\/0,2933,217765,00.html\" target=\"_blank\">This guy<\/a> knows Pi to 100,000 digits. Can you imagine?<\/p>\n<p>Or you could watch this crazily mesmerizing song (if you are reading in a reader or email <a title=\"Pi Song\" href=\"http:\/\/wp.me\/p2NEfY-pd\" target=\"_blank\">click here<\/a> to see the video)&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/embed\/VqpWETqoD5Q?rel=0\" height=\"480\" width=\"640\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>But the one thing you should make sure to do is <strong><em>eat pie<\/em><\/strong>!<\/p>\n<p>We sent out instructions for Mini Chocolate Pies in our <a title=\"subscribe to newsletter\" href=\"https:\/\/blossomsandposies.com\/blog\/subscribe\/\" target=\"_blank\">newsletter<\/a> yesterday (leave us a <a title=\"Comment here!\" href=\"http:\/\/wp.me\/p2NEfY-pd\" target=\"_blank\">comment<\/a> if you&#8217;d like that recipe.) And we made both <a href=\"http:\/\/www.buildamenu.com\/blog\/birds-nest-pie-cooking-with-kids\/\" target=\"_blank\">Bird&#8217;s Nest Pie<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.buildamenu.com\/blog\/mini-chocolate-kiss-pies\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mini Chocolate Kiss Pies<\/a> for Build A Menu recently, both very respectable pie options. Don&#8217;t forget our <a href=\"https:\/\/blossomsandposies.com\/blog\/make-pumpkin-pie-from-scratch\/\" target=\"_blank\">Pumpkin Pie<\/a> recipe!<\/p>\n<p>For this post we thought we&#8217;d share a dinner pie. It doesn&#8217;t really look like a pie, but it is <em>called<\/em> a pie, so good enough! And it <em>is<\/em> good enough, which is why we all enjoy it. Boil large pot of water for potatoes<\/p>\n<p>3. Boil potatoes until tender<\/p>\n<p>5. Drain potatoes and add 3 tablespoons butter, 1\/2 cup cheese and 1\/2 cup milk. Drain grease from beef. Grease 2 quart ceramic casserole dish<\/p>\n<p>9. Put beef\/veggie mixture in the bottom of casserole and press down.
